New Vacuum Unit for Precious Metal Purification

We present to you a new vacuum unit for the purification of enriched precious metals developed by us, drying and purification of cathode sediment. It has shown effective operation at mines under constant load in 2020-2024.

One-time loading of the source material is up to one ton, the electricity consumption is ~ 100 kW. As needed the operating temperature varies up to 800 °C.

The installation can be used in a mobile version.

About Our Equipment

The "FID-D" venture Capital Firm produces retort furnaces and other equipment that effectively purify enriched precious metals and gold (distilling mercury from amalgams and rocks).

Description of the Process

The physical properties of mercury and precious metals are very similar: density, electrical conductivity…

As a result, mercury is enriched along with them during the process of producing precious metals.

At the end of the enrichment process, mercury remains along with precious metals!

Mercury is currently isolated from precious metals mainly by chemical means, i.e. nitric acid is used where mercury is dissolved, but nitric acid does not provide 100% purification of precious metals from mercury. There is also the problem: what to do with nitric acid saturated with mercury, because its amount is huge.

How the URL-2M Unit Solves These Problems

All these problems are solved by our URL-2M unit for the purification of precious metals, gold, drying and cleaning of the cathode sediment. The principle of operation of the URL-2M unit is based on the evaporation of mercury from the source material by raising the temperature and then trapping mercury by depositing mercury vapor onto a cryogenic trap.

As you know, mercury evaporates completely at a temperature of 350-360 °C and at a temperature of -50 °C mercury becomes solid. The work of our URL-2M unit is based on this physical basis. Thus unit is used for the purification of precious metals, gold, drying and purification of the cathode sediment. The whole process additionally takes place in a vacuum! Evaporation of mercury into the environment is reduced to zero.

Due to this we have achieved the purification of precious metals, gold, drying and cleaning of the cathode sediment at the URL-2M unit is environmentally friendly and safe for service staff and others. After the purification of precious metals, gold, drying and purification of the cathode deposit at the URL-2M unit we get precious metals and gold without mercury at the output!!!
